A Bologna historic centre shopping guide.

The area of the historic center of Bologna called Quadrilatero includes: Via Rizzoli, Via D'Azeglio, Via Farini and Via Castiglione.
This is the oldest part of the city, where you can feel the atmosphere of the past, enjoy flavors of traditional cuisine, discover the historic shops, called Botteghe, still active.
And this is the heart of Bologna "la grassa" (the fat), the old Market of the middle, where shopkeepers shows their wares along the narrow streets, where the shops often have no doors and where we can find stands in mall covered market.

Via D'Azeglio, which is completely closed to traffic, is one of the most sophisticated street, with historic clothing stores and department stores with the trendiest brands.

Another area is the exclusive Via Farini, the porticos of Archiginnasio and Galleria Cavour: here we can find the Atelier of leading brands and exclusive boutiques for a luxury shopping.

Corte Isolani is an old medieval houses with a fascinating gallery of shops, mostly of furnishing and objects of value.

For more affordable shopping, you can go in Via dell’Indipendenza, where you can find every kind of shops: big department stores of clothing, footwear, etc.
